Despite these improvements, the updated system still shows significant limitations due to gaps in the reference database. For example, the platform successfully breaks down specific locations within the United Kingdom but fails to provide deeper regional data for countries like Ireland or Nigeria. Product Manager Robin Smith explains that the ability to detect granular data depends directly on the amount of DNA a person has and the number of reference individuals from that specific region in the company's dataset.
