Several standout companies draw immediate attention with their unique approaches to common problems. Asher Bio develops highly precise immuno-therapy drugs to fight cancer without severe side effects, while spotLESS Materials creates a super slippery coating that repels waste and water for easy cleaning. In the consumer space, Talar offers a "last-meter" grocery delivery service that puts food directly into customers' refrigerators for a flat fee and a small product markup.
Enterprise and logistics startups also make a strong showing during the day's presentations. Vendr tackles the chaotic SaaS subscription market by providing a self-serve platform to help companies manage and purchase software at fair prices. Meanwhile, Trella connects shippers directly to truck drivers in the Middle East to reduce high shipping costs and increase transparency in a historically inefficient market.
