Adobe Launches Commercial Firefly AI Across Creative Cloud and Web App
Adobe officially releases its Firefly generative AI models for commercial use, integrating them directly into Photoshop, Illustrator, and a new standalone web app. The update also brings enterprise-grade tools that allow businesses to customize AI models with their own brand assets.
Adobe officially releases its Firefly generative AI models for commercial use, marking the end of a successful six-month beta period. Creators now access Firefly through a new standalone web application, Adobe Express, and integrated workflows within Adobe Creative Cloud. The foundation models support text prompts in over 100 languages and allow users to generate images, text effects, and vectors designed to be commercially safe.
Firefly-powered tools are now deeply embedded into popular Adobe software, bringing unprecedented creative capabilities to everyday workflows. Users utilize Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, and Generative Recolor in Illustrator to experiment and ideate in entirely new ways. Adobe plans to continuously expand these AI features across additional Creative Cloud applications for video, 3D, photography, and design.
The general availability of Firefly for Enterprise introduces specialized tools for large organizations, including integrations with Adobe GenStudio and Express for Enterprise. Businesses work directly with Adobe to customize generative AI models using their own branded assets and specific content. Enterprise customers also gain access to Firefly APIs to embed these custom AI capabilities directly into their own corporate ecosystems.
