Codeium secures $150 million in a Series C funding round led by General Catalyst, pushing its valuation to $1.25 billion. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its workforce, accelerate product development, and build strategic partnerships.

Codeium, an AI-powered code acceleration platform based in Mountain View, raises $150 million in a Series C funding round that brings its total valuation to $1.25 billion. General Catalyst leads the investment, with continued financial support from existing investors Kleiner Perkins and Greenoaks. This latest capital injection brings the company's overall funding to $243 million as it experiences rapid growth in the developer tools space.

The company plans to use the new funds to accelerate product development, expand its headcount, and enhance strategic partnerships. These expansion efforts follow the recent launch of advanced AI tools like Cortex and Forge. By processing over 100 billion tokens daily, Codeium establishes itself as a major player in the generative AI coding market alongside well-known competitors.

Codeium leverages proprietary code-biased Large Language Models to reduce inefficiencies in software development and maximize developer productivity. The platform supports over 70 programming languages and integrates seamlessly with more than 40 Integrated Development Environments, including Visual Studio Code and the JetBrains suite. Major companies like Zillow, Dell, and Anduril currently rely on Codeium in their production workflows.
