Amazon Bedrock officially reaches general availability, providing developers with a fully managed service to build and scale generative AI applications. The platform offers a diverse selection of high-performing foundation models from leading AI companies including AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Stability AI, and Amazon. Users access this serverless technology across three global regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo).
The service simplifies generative AI development by allowing users to experiment with various models and customize them privately using techniques like fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Developers create managed agents that execute complex business tasks without writing any code. Additionally, Meta’s Llama 2 13B and 70B parameter models will soon join the available model lineup on the platform.
Because Amazon Bedrock operates as a serverless environment, customers avoid infrastructure management while securely integrating AI capabilities into existing applications. The service seamlessly connects with Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail to deliver comprehensive monitoring, usage metrics, and governance tracking.
