The Echo Dot receives a similar spherical makeover, offering improved frequency response in a compact size despite lacking the full smart home hub functionality of the standard Echo. Amazon also updates its kids' offering with the $60 Echo Dot Kids Edition, which features playful designs, robust parental controls, and automatic voice profile switching to provide age-appropriate responses for both children and parents.
