The tech giant currently offers over 150 Alexa-integrated devices, with the majority of them shipping in 2018. Amazon shows its desire to put Alexa into anything with a circuit board by releasing products like a smart clock, a microwave, and updated versions of its popular Echo speakers.
This aggressive hardware expansion serves as a necessary strategy to compete with Google Assistant and Apple's Siri, which hold significant reach through Android and iOS mobile devices. Furthermore, Amazon sees strong demand for its upcoming Alexa Auto device, with over one million users already signing up for purchase invites.
