Amazon Tests Virtual Showroom Tool for Living Room Furniture Design
Amazon quietly launches Amazon Showroom, a visual design tool that lets shoppers customize and purchase complete living room setups. The feature allows users to change wall colors, swap furniture, and buy entire room designs in one click.
Amazon introduces Amazon Showroom, a new visual design tool that allows shoppers to place furniture into a virtual living room. Users customize the décor by adjusting wall colors and flooring, then swap out individual items like sofas, coffee tables, and rugs with alternatives from a scrollable panel.
The tool provides various filters for price, style, color, and brand to help users find the perfect pieces for their space. Amazon prominently features its own private-label home furnishing brands within the selection, and shoppers save multiple room designs to compare different styles later.
Unlike Amazon's previous AR feature that focuses on viewing single items in a real room, Showroom addresses the challenge of designing a complete space. Once satisfied with their virtual setup, users click a single "Add to cart" button to purchase all the displayed items at once.
