Apple Arcade Launches Early for iOS 13 Beta Users Ahead of Official Rollout

Apple is gradually rolling out its new ad-free gaming subscription service to users running beta versions of iOS 13. For $4.99 a month, subscribers get access to a growing library of premium mobile games.

Apple rolls out its new subscription gaming service, Apple Arcade, to users running beta versions of iOS 13 or 13.1. Beta testers open the App Store and subscribe to the platform early, giving them a sneak peek before the official public launch of iOS 13. The service requires the latest operating system updates, including iOS 13, tvOS 13, or macOS Catalina, to function properly.

For a monthly fee of $4.99, Apple Arcade offers an ad-free gaming experience without any in-app purchases. Subscribers currently access a library of 53 games, though Apple plans to expand this catalog to over 100 titles by the end of the fall. The subscription includes a one-month free trial and supports family sharing, allowing multiple family members to play under a single plan.

The App Store integrates Apple Arcade directly into its search and browsing interfaces. Each game features a dedicated page with trailers, screenshots, and detailed information like age ratings and player counts. Users who do not subscribe still see these titles in search results, but they encounter a prompt offering a free trial through an Apple Arcade subscription instead of a standard download button.
