Apple Launches AirPods Pro With Active Noise Cancellation for $249

Apple introduces the AirPods Pro, a premium in-ear headphone featuring active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and an IPX4 water resistance rating. The new earbuds start at $249 and hit stores on October 30.

Apple unveils the all-new AirPods Pro, bringing active noise cancellation to its popular wireless headphone lineup for $249. The in-ear design features an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating, and the earbuds include three sizes of silicone ear tips to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for different users.

To block out background noise, the AirPods Pro utilize two microphones paired with advanced software that continuously adapts to the surrounding environment. Users easily switch between this noise cancellation and a Transparency mode, which allows ambient sound to pass through, by pressing the stem of the earbuds or using a slider in the iOS Control Center.

The earbuds offer up to four and a half hours of listening time with noise cancellation enabled, while the included charging case provides over 24 hours of total battery life. Powered by Apple's H1 chip, the AirPods Pro also deliver hands-free "Hey Siri" support, Audio Sharing, and an Adaptive EQ feature that automatically tunes music to the specific shape of the listener's ear.
