Additionally, AirPods users benefit from the upgrade by being able to nod or shake their heads to respond to Siri announcements, while the assistant itself receives a visual makeover that lights up the edges of the screen instead of the traditional glowing orb.
The full Apple Intelligence experience arrives as a slower rollout, with the first set of features entering beta next month starting with U.S. English. Other smart features like Writing Tools, notification summaries, and a photo Clean Up tool also debut in this initial beta phase, with support for additional languages and more advanced Siri capabilities following throughout the coming year.
