Apple introduces a completely redesigned iPad mini featuring a larger 8.3-inch all-screen display and the powerful A15 Bionic chip. The compact tablet also adds 5G connectivity, a USB-C port, and advanced camera capabilities.
Apple unveils a completely redesigned iPad mini that features a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with narrow borders. The device maintains its compact footprint while offering four new color finishes: pink, starlight, purple, and space gray. To accommodate the edge-to-edge screen, Apple moves the Touch ID sensor to the top button of the tablet.
The new iPad mini delivers breakthrough performance thanks to the A15 Bionic chip, which provides up to 80 percent faster speeds than the previous generation. Apple also replaces the Lightning port with a USB-C port for faster connectivity and includes 5G support on cellular models. These upgrades make the compact tablet a highly capable tool for both everyday tasks and demanding workflows.
Additional enhancements include advanced cameras on the front and back, along with Center Stage technology that automatically keeps users in frame during video calls. The tablet also supports the second-generation Apple Pencil for easy note-taking and drawing. Customers can order the new iPad mini today ahead of its in-store release on Friday, September 24.
