Apple Revamps Everyone Can Code to Reach Younger Students

Apple expands and redesigns its Everyone Can Code curriculum to introduce more elementary and middle school students to programming. The updated program makes coding more approachable by connecting activities to students' everyday lives and includes a new guide called Everyone Can Code Puzzles for Swift Playgrounds.
The company integrates its Everyone Can Create project guides into the coding curriculum to blend subjects like music, drawing, and photography with technology. Apple also ensures the material is highly accessible by optimizing it for VoiceOver and including closed-captioned videos alongside American Sign Language resources.
To celebrate Computer Science Education Week in December, Apple offers thousands of free interactive coding sessions at its retail stores. These Today at Apple sessions range from block-based coding with robots for beginners to Swift Playgrounds AR projects for advanced coders, and even feature preschool activities with the Helpsters characters from Apple TV+.
