The tech giant relies on a supply chain that spans eight states, including Arizona, Maine, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vermont. Components from suppliers like Intersil and ON Semiconductor highlight Apple's broader claim of utilizing parts from 36 states to support 450,000 American jobs.
This domestic manufacturing move aligns with Apple's commitment to invest $350 billion in the U.S. by 2023 and avoids potential tariff penalties. President Donald Trump previously pressured Apple on Twitter, explicitly warning that the company would not receive tariff waivers for Mac Pro parts made in China.
