Apple Unveils Carbon Neutral Watch Series 9 and Titanium iPhone 15 Pro
Apple introduces the iPhone 15 Pro with a titanium design and USB-C, alongside the first carbon neutral Apple Watch Series 9 featuring a new S9 chip and a double tap gesture.
Apple reveals its latest hardware at the Wonderlust event, headlined by the iPhone 15 Pro in a sleek titanium finish. The new smartphone ditches the Lightning port in favor of USB-C, offering users a modernized connectivity standard. Alongside the Pro model, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus make their debut with the Dynamic Island display.
The Apple Watch Series 9 takes center stage as Apple's first-ever carbon neutral product. It features the powerful new S9 chip, which delivers a 30% faster GPU and enables faster on-device Siri requests. A standout new interaction method called double tap allows users to control the watch with a simple pinch gesture.
Additional upgrades to the wearable include an edge-to-edge always-on Retina display that reaches 2,000 nits of brightness. The enhanced neural engine improves health tracking through Siri, while a new ultra-wide-band chip provides precise iPhone pinging. NameDrop also arrives on watchOS 10, making it incredibly easy to share contact information with nearby devices.
