iOS 15 takes center stage with significant upgrades to FaceTime, including spatial audio, voice isolation, and Portrait Mode. Apple makes FaceTime more accessible by introducing shareable links that allow Android and Windows users to join calls, along with a SharePlay feature for synchronized media viewing. The update also brings a new Focus mode that filters notifications and apps based on the user's current activity, plus a revamped notifications summary and a Live Text feature for capturing text in photos.
Beyond the core operating systems, Apple announces practical improvements to its smaller devices and services.
