Apple Unveils iPhone 13 Pro With 120Hz Display and Major Camera Upgrades
Apple introduces the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, featuring a new Sierra Blue color option and the first ProMotion displays on an iPhone. The new flagship phones also boast significantly improved cameras and longer battery life.
Apple reveals the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, bringing a 120Hz ProMotion display to the iPhone lineup for the first time. The new displays automatically adjust their refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz to balance smooth scrolling with battery efficiency. The phones feature a 20% smaller front-facing TrueDepth camera system, stainless steel bands, and introduce a striking new Sierra Blue color option alongside graphite, gold, and silver.
The flagship devices deliver what Apple calls the biggest camera enhancement ever seen on an iPhone. The upgraded system includes a new 77mm telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, an ultra-wide camera with auto-focus and vastly improved low-light performance, and a wider main camera aperture. Users gain new macro photography capabilities, Night mode on all three lenses, and a Cinematic Mode that applies depth-of-field effects and focus tracking to video.
Powered by the A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max offer significantly longer battery life compared to their predecessors. The standard Pro model provides an extra 1.5 hours of usage, while the Pro Max adds 2.5 hours. Pricing starts at $999 for the iPhone 13 Pro and $1099 for the Pro Max, with storage capacities ranging from 128GB up to 1TB.
