Apple Unveils iPhone 15 and 15 Plus With USB-C, 48MP Camera
Apple introduces the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, featuring a color-infused glass design, the Dynamic Island, and a 48MP camera system. The new smartphones also mark the transition to a USB-C connector and add satellite roadside assistance.
Apple announces the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, bringing a fresh design with a durable, color-infused back glass and a new contoured edge. Both models feature the Dynamic Island and come in five vibrant colors: pink, yellow, green, blue, and black. The smartphones mark a significant shift by replacing the Lightning port with a standard USB-C connector.
The camera system receives a major upgrade with a powerful 48MP Main camera that delivers super-high-resolution photos. A new 2x Telephoto option provides users with three total optical zoom levels, effectively functioning like having a third camera. Additionally, Apple introduces next-generation portrait capabilities that offer great detail and improved low-light performance.
Under the hood, the devices run on the proven A16 Bionic chip to deliver efficient performance. Apple also adds a practical Roadside Assistance feature via satellite, allowing users to connect to AAA for help when experiencing car trouble off the grid. Pre-orders for the new lineup begin on September 15, with official availability starting on September 22.
