Apple Unveils New Apple Watch and iPad Air, Skips iPhone
Apple holds its September event to introduce the Apple Watch Series 6, a budget Apple Watch SE, and a redesigned iPad Air. The company also launches a new services bundle called Apple One.
Apple hosts its annual September event but skips the iPhone to focus entirely on wearables and tablets. The highlight of the "Time Flies" presentation is the Apple Watch Series 6, which features a blood oxygen monitoring sensor, a faster S6 chip, and new color options. Alongside the flagship model, Apple introduces a more affordable Apple Watch SE that lacks advanced health sensors but still delivers core smartwatch features.
The tech giant also reveals a completely redesigned iPad Air equipped with an all-screen display, an A14 chip, and a unique Touch ID sensor built directly into the power button. Additionally, Apple updates its standard eighth-generation iPad with a more powerful A12 chip to improve everyday performance. Both tablets aim to offer premium experiences at different price points for consumers and students.
Beyond hardware, Apple expands its digital offerings with the Apple One subscription bundle, which combines multiple services like Apple Music and Apple TV+ into a single monthly bill. The company also launches Fitness+, a guided workout service integrated with the Apple Watch that costs $9.99 per month. These new services provide users with more ways to engage with the Apple ecosystem while potentially saving money.
