Apple introduces Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system deeply integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. This new system combines the power of generative models with a user's personal context to simplify and accelerate everyday tasks across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.
The technology harnesses Apple silicon to understand and create language and images, as well as take action across various applications. New systemwide Writing Tools allow users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text almost everywhere they type, including third-party apps, to help them communicate more effectively.
With Private Cloud Compute, Apple sets a new standard for privacy in AI by flexibly scaling computational capacity between on-device processing and larger server-based models. These server-based models run on dedicated Apple silicon servers, ensuring that user data remains completely private and secure while accessing advanced AI capabilities.
