Apple introduces the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, featuring a completely redesigned aluminum unibody built around a laser-welded vapor chamber. This innovative thermal architecture allows the new A19 Pro chip to deliver unprecedented performance and a massive leap in battery life. The smartphones come in three striking new finishes: deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver.
The camera system receives a major upgrade with three 48MP Fusion cameras on the rear, offering the equivalent of eight different lenses. The lineup includes an all-new telephoto lens that achieves the longest optical-quality zoom ever on an iPhone at 8x magnification. Additionally, an 18MP Center Stage front camera significantly enhances selfie capabilities for users.
Professional filmmakers and content creators benefit from industry-first video features such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock synchronization. Durability also sees a significant boost with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front, which offers three times better scratch resistance, while the back of the device features Ceramic Shield for the very first time. Pre-orders open on September 12 ahead of the September 19 release date.
