Apple Unveils Titanum Credit Card With Daily Cash Rewards
Apple introduces the Apple Card, a digital and physical credit card built directly into the iPhone Wallet app. The card offers daily cash back, no hidden fees, and strict privacy protections.
Apple officially introduces the Apple Card, a new credit card designed specifically for the iPhone and integrated directly into the Wallet app. Users sign up on their devices and gain access in just minutes, coinciding with Apple Pay's expansion to over 40 countries and 10 billion annual transactions. The digital card offers a clear, interactive interface where users track spending, view transaction locations in Apple Maps, and manage their balances.
The financial product provides straightforward rewards, granting users 2 percent daily cash back on Apple Pay purchases and 3 percent on Apple purchases, with physical transactions earning 1 percent. Unlike traditional cards, this daily cash credits to the user's Apple Pay balance immediately rather than at the end of the month. Partnering with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard, Apple ensures strong privacy by not tracking purchase details and prohibiting the bank from selling user data to advertisers.
The Apple Card eliminates common pain points by charging no late, annual, international, or over-limit fees, while offering transparent multi-month payment plans for those who carry a balance. Customers also receive a physical titanium card that lacks printed numbers, CVV codes, or expiration dates for enhanced security. The card launches in the United States this summer and features unique device-specific security numbers protected by Face ID or fingerprint authentication.
