The updated iMacs keep the same pricing as the previous generation, with the 21.5-inch 4K models starting at $1,299 and the 27-inch 5K models starting at $1,799. However, the entry-level 21.5-inch iMac without a Retina display remains unchanged and still uses older 7th-generation processors from 2017.
The design of the iMac stays identical to the slim aluminum profile introduced in 2012. Customers order directly through Apple, with build-to-order options available for those wanting the top-tier 8-core processor in the 27-inch model. The new systems ship shortly after the announcement, giving professionals and consumers alike a noticeable speed increase.
