Apple Vision Pro Return Rate Matches iPhone 15 Pro, Analyst Says

New data from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reveals the Apple Vision Pro has a return rate of less than 1%. This figure aligns closely with Apple's premium iPhone models and debunks rumors of unusually high return rates.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that the Apple Vision Pro currently has a return rate of less than 1%, showing no unusual anomalies. This data directly contradicts online critics who claim the expensive headset suffers from an abnormally high rate of returns. Notably, Kuo finds that 20 to 30 percent of these rare returns occur simply because users do not know how to properly set up the device.

Historical data from AppleInsider shows this sub-1% return rate is remarkably consistent with other premium Apple products. For context, the iPhone 15 Pro lineup sees a first-month return rate of about 1.2%, while the iPad Pro sits at roughly 0.9%. Industry-wide smartphone return rates typically average around 2.5%, making Apple's hardware returns significantly lower than the market average.

These findings from Kuo's inspection of refurbishment lines match earlier retail reports from Apple store employees on the US east coast. Retail staff indicate the Vision Pro returns fall well within the normal range for new product launches. The primary exceptions driving the few returns that do happen are media producers and a small number of users who experience a biological incompatibility with the spatial computing technology.
