Apple's September 2019 Event to Unveil Triple-Lens iPhones and New Watches

Apple prepares to host its annual September event at Apple Park, where the tech giant is set to reveal its 2019 iPhone lineup featuring major camera upgrades and updated Apple Watch models.

Apple hosts its annual iPhone-centric event at the Steve Jobs Theater on September 10 under the theme "By innovation only." The tech giant focuses on unveiling its 2019 smartphone lineup, which retains the same three sizes of 5.8, 6.1, and 6.5 inches as the previous generation. While the overall design remains familiar, Apple introduces more shatter-resistant matte glass and improved waterproofing to enhance device durability.

The flagship successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max feature a significant camera revision with a triple-lens setup housed in a square-shaped bump. This new system includes a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a new 12-megapixel super wide-angle lens to deliver notably better photo quality, especially in low-light situations. Meanwhile, the more affordable LCD successor to the iPhone XR gains a dual-lens camera and arrives in fresh colors like lavender and green.

Beyond the smartphones, Apple uses the stage to introduce updated Apple Watch models crafted from new materials. Attendees and viewers also anticipate potential announcements regarding various services and other hardware updates to round out the fall product lineup. The event serves as the official kickoff for Apple's busy fall release season.
