The startup attracts new investors like BAIC Capital and an AI Alliance joint venture that includes Hyundai and SK Telecom, alongside several existing backers. Arbe plans to use this fresh capital to expand its workforce and push its radar technology into full production.
Arbe develops a specialized radar system that allows autonomous and advanced driver-assisted vehicles to detect, separate, and track hundreds of objects in real time. The chipset produces an image that is 100 times more detailed than any other solution currently on the market, enabling vehicles to map their environment with high horizontal and vertical resolution across a wide field of view. This deep level of detail helps autonomous systems understand exactly what they are seeing, preventing unnecessary actions like slamming on the brakes for a floating plastic bag.
The company actively works with five Tier 1 customers across Europe and China to replace legacy chipsets that often suffer from false alarms. By processing massive amounts of 4D imaging data in real time, Arbe's technology aims to meet the strict safety requirements of NCAP and ADAS for years to come. The startup positions its innovative radar as a critical component that empowers automakers to safely navigate complex environmental conditions.
