Arcade AI is a new generative AI marketplace that empowers users, called "Dreamers," to design their own custom jewelry. By leveraging a mix of third-party AI models like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney, the platform translates text prompts and uploaded images into tangible accessory designs. Once a user finalizes a digital concept, the system assigns the design to a partnered artisan who crafts the physical piece using materials like gold, silver, and various gemstones.
The creation process moves quickly from digital idea to physical reality. After a user selects and orders a generated design, the assigned artisan creates the item and sends a video for approval before shipping. One TechCrunch reporter tests the platform by requesting an opal-adorned gold floral necklace, receiving the finished, high-quality product in about two weeks from the time of the initial order.
Despite its innovative approach, the platform currently faces some technical limitations with complex designs. The AI generator struggles to render complicated elements like multiple charms on a single necklace or highly intricate geometric shapes like a 20-sided die. Founder Mariam Naficy explains that the AI models require strict constraints to ensure the designs remain manufacturable, though she plans to improve the platform's editing tools with advanced image prompt adapters in the future.
