Audible Unveils AI Narration and Translation Tools for Publishers

Audible introduces an integrated AI production system that allows publishers to create audiobooks using over one hundred synthetic voices. The platform also plans to launch a beta translation feature later this year to convert English audiobooks into four major languages.

Audible introduces a new AI production system that allows publishing partners to turn text into audiobooks using over one hundred synthetic voices. The company offers two pathways for this process, including a fully managed service where Audible handles the entire production and a self-service option where publishers direct the process independently.

This new technology combines Audible's decades of audio experience with advanced AI capabilities from Amazon. Publishers currently have access to AI-generated voices in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, complete with various accent and dialect options that continue to improve over time.

Later in 2025, Audible plans to launch a beta translation feature that converts English audiobooks into Spanish, French, Italian, and German. This expansion aims to help creators reach global audiences and fulfill the company's vision of making every book available in every language.
