Automobili Pininfarina, a Mahindra Group-owned automaker infused with iconic Italian design DNA, reveals its first production car at the Geneva International Motor Show. The Battista is an all-electric hypercar named after the design house founder, and it delivers performance that surpasses a current Formula 1 race car with a zero-to-62 mph time of under two seconds.
The vehicle features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, four individual electric motors producing 1,900 horsepower, and a top speed exceeding 223 mph. A 120 kilowatt-hour battery pack provides an estimated range of nearly 280 miles, while partnerships with industry leaders like Rimac for the drivetrain and Pirelli for the tires ensure top-tier engineering.
Priced at $2 million, the Battista remains an exclusive prospect with only 150 units scheduled for production at the company's Turin atelier in 2020. These highly customizable vehicles are distributed equally across North America, Europe, and Asia, continuing Pininfarina's long history of crafting legendary, limited-edition performance machines.
