AWS Expands Amazon SageMaker to Bring Machine Learning to Business Users

AWS announces new Amazon SageMaker features from re:Invent 2021 that make machine learning accessible to non-technical business users while improving performance and lowering costs for experts.

AWS announces several new Amazon SageMaker features at re:Invent 2021 that make machine learning accessible to a broader audience. Amazon SageMaker Canvas expands this reach by providing business analysts with a visual point-and-click interface to generate accurate ML predictions without writing code or having prior ML experience. Users can start with a two-month free trial that includes up to 10 ML models and one million cells of data.

To address the growing demand for data labeling, AWS introduces Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth Plus. This new managed service provides an expert workforce trained on ML tasks to create high-quality training datasets without requiring companies to build their own labeling applications or manage workforces. Customers simply upload their data, and the service handles the labeling workflows while maintaining strict data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

AWS also releases enhancements to Amazon SageMaker Studio that optimize the performance and cost of building, training, and deploying ML models. Data scientists and developers can now do data processing, analytics, and ML workflows inside a single unified notebook. This universal notebook allows users to access a wide range of data sources and write transformation code for a variety of workloads all in one place.
