AWS Expands Bedrock Generative AI Platform to Rival Microsoft and Google

Amazon Web Services expands its generative AI strategy at the AWS Summit New York by announcing significant updates to its Bedrock foundation model service. The Bedrock platform now supports additional AI models, including Cohere, Anthropic Claude 2, and Stability AI SDXL 1.0. Furthermore, AWS introduces a new agent capability for Bedrock that allows developers to automate complex tasks, connect foundation models to specific data sources via API, and convert data into machine-readable formats without writing code.
Beyond Bedrock, Amazon integrates generative AI into its QuickSight business intelligence service and previews a vector engine for OpenSearch serverless. The company also officially launches the AWS Entity Resolution service to enhance data management, reinforcing its commitment to transforming industries through artificial intelligence.
