AWS Unveils Serverless Analytics and Streaming Updates at re:Invent 2021

AWS showcases its most noteworthy launches from re:Invent 2021, bringing major updates to analytics, streaming, and data management. The annual event features insights from AWS Chief Evangelist Jeff Barr and a global team of developer advocates who highlight their favorite new services and offer tips for getting started.

A key highlight is the introduction of Amazon Redshift Serverless, which allows users to run analytics at any scale without managing data warehouse infrastructure. Alongside this, AWS launches Amazon Kinesis Data Streams On-Demand, a feature that automatically scales capacity in response to data traffic and removes the need for manual provisioning.

Additional data-focused updates include the general availability of cell-level security and governed tables in AWS Lake Formation, as well as the new AWS Data Exchange for APIs. These tools work together to simplify the process of building secure data lakes, optimizing storage, and integrating third-party APIs with consistent authentication.
