Executive Vice President Li Ke confirms the initiative, highlighting that the underlying technologies for automotive artificial intelligence and advanced robotics share common foundations.

The company plans to lean heavily on its existing industrial strengths to compete in the robotics sector. Li emphasizes that success in this market depends on robust capabilities in both software and hardware, two areas where BYD already possesses massive advantages from its electric vehicle production lines.

BYD also envisions a unique pathway to market for these machines if they eventually become consumer products.
