The Wall Street Journal reports that hackers working for the Chinese government, a group known as Salt Typhoon, successfully breach T-Mobile's network alongside other giants like AT&T, Verizon, and Lumen.
The wireless carrier insists its systems and customer data remain unharmed in any significant way. However, an unnamed T-Mobile spokesperson declines to confirm whether the company possesses the technical logs necessary to prove that hackers do not exfiltrate sensitive information during the intrusion.
