Priced at $29.99 per month or $167.99 annually, this top-tier plan sits above the existing Super Duolingo offering and includes unlimited hearts, an ad-free experience, and personalized review sessions.
The Max subscription unlocks two exclusive AI-powered features: Roleplay and Explain My Answer. The Roleplay feature allows users to practice real-world conversation skills by interacting with app characters in scenarios like ordering coffee in Paris, while receiving personalized feedback on their accuracy and complexity. Meanwhile, the Explain My Answer feature lets users chat with the Duo mascot to understand why a specific answer was correct or incorrect, helping to clarify confusing grammar rules.
Human experts carefully design the conversation scenarios and initial prompts to ensure the AI stays aligned with the user's current progress in the course.
