Entrepreneur First hosts its eleventh Demo Day in London, showcasing 29 newly formed startups from its London, Berlin, and Paris cohorts. The event highlights the investor's expanding pan-European reach and draws a near-overcapacity crowd of investors and press. Unlike typical demo days, EF backs individuals "pre-team, pre-idea," meaning these companies only come into existence during the three-month program.
This latest demo day follows EF's announcement of a new $115 million fund, which stands as one of the largest pre-seed funds ever raised. The funding round includes institutional investors from the U.S., Europe, and Asia, along with notable European entrepreneurs like Taavet Hinrikus and Alex Chesterman. This capital enables EF to support more than 2,200 individuals across its global programs in Bangalore, Berlin, Hong Kong, London, Singapore, and Paris over the next three years.
The pitching startups span a wide gamut of the tech sector, reflecting EF's focus on recruiting top technical and domain expert talent. Notable standouts from the event include FabricNano, Fast Biotechnologies, Blazar, Alcemy, and Neoplants. These selected companies represent the diverse and highly technical innovations that emerge when EF brings together exceptional individuals to build companies from scratch.
