The investment round sees participation from existing backers like Lightspeed Ventures, Accel, and Saab, as well as new investors including BDT & MSD Partners. This significant financial boost targets the urgent need for advanced defense technologies across Europe.
Prima Materia founder Daniel Ek emphasizes that Europe faces evolving geopolitical challenges that require strategic autonomy and security readiness. He states that Helsing holds a unique position in AI leadership to deliver critical capabilities across all defense domains. By leading this round, Prima Materia reinforces its commitment to empowering Europe's technological sovereignty.
This new funding follows Helsing's previous Series C round of €450 million from July 2024. The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate its leadership in defense innovation and expand its AI-driven solutions. The completion of this financing round remains subject to certain standard regulatory approvals.
