To build this dataset, Facebook AI Research collaborates with 13 universities worldwide to collect the largest ever compilation of first-person video. Given Facebook's recent controversies regarding user well-being and corporate profits, privacy advocates worry about how this intimate, first-person visual data ultimately gets used by the social media giant.
