Ferrari introduces the SF90 Stradale, its first plug-in hybrid vehicle that combines a V8 turbo engine with three electric motors to produce nearly 1,000 horsepower.
Ferrari officially embraces electrification with the unveiling of the SF90 Stradale, the legendary automaker's first series production plug-in hybrid. This milestone vehicle pairs a record-breaking 769-horsepower V8 turbo engine with three electric motors that add an additional 216 horsepower. Together, this massive powertrain propels the supercar from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 211 mph.
Drivers experience different driving dynamics through several distinct modes, with the default setting operating the car as a standard hybrid. The vehicle offers an eDrive mode for pure electric power that utilizes two independent front motors to reach speeds up to 83 mph, though the all-electric range sits at a modest 15.5 miles. A specialized performance mode keeps the gas engine running specifically to charge the battery, ensuring the driver always has instant access to maximum power.
The interior of the SF90 Stradale features advanced technology inspired by Formula 1 racing and aeronautics. A heads-up display projects crucial information directly onto the windshield in the driver's line of sight, supporting a strict "hands on the wheel" design philosophy. All essential touch controls, including a small touchpad and voice commands, integrate directly into the steering wheel so the driver never has to take their hands off the wheel.
