The group of advanced economies also takes a firm stance against fossil fuels by committing to phase out coal-fired power generation within their own borders. Furthermore, the leaders pledge to stop funding new coal plants in developing countries and offer $2.8 billion to help these nations transition to cleaner energy alternatives.
In addition to health and climate initiatives, the summit addresses global economic recovery by advancing a plan for a global minimum corporate tax. These combined efforts represent a significant multilateral push to tackle the world's most pressing crises, though some critics argue that the overall outcomes do not go far enough to solve these complex challenges.
