Generative AI Firm Typeface Buys Treat and Narrato to Expand Enterprise Tools

Enterprise generative AI startup Typeface acquires Treat and Narrato to enhance its visual and textual content creation capabilities for corporate clients.

Generative AI startup Typeface acquires two companies, Treat and Narrato, to strengthen its enterprise content creation portfolio. Just over a year after raising $165 million at a $1 billion valuation, Typeface integrates these startups to boost its visual and textual AI capabilities. The company states that these additions propel its vision of transforming the end-to-end content lifecycle for business customers.

Treat brings advanced AI-driven personalization to product imagery by using customer data to generate photos tailored to specific target demographics. Narrato contributes an AI content assistant equipped with collaboration and workflow tools for planning and generating articles, video scripts, blogs, and social media posts. Both acquired startups offer products that directly appeal to the large corporate clients that Typeface serves.

Founded by former Adobe CTO Abhay Parasnis, Typeface differentiates itself from rivals by emphasizing strict brand governance and privacy through dedicated, siloed AI models for each customer. By absorbing the top-tier technology and talent from Treat and Narrato, Typeface supercharges its existing tools for text and image generation. This strategic move allows the startup to offer a more comprehensive, personalized, and secure generative AI platform for the enterprise market.
