The round is co-led by Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, with additional participation from major corporate venture arms like Salesforce Ventures, Adobe Ventures, and IBM Ventures. This new capital brings the company's total funding to $326 million.
Writer focuses on providing a full-stack generative AI platform tailored for enterprise clients, moving beyond basic task execution to deliver mission-critical business solutions. The company develops its own family of language models called Palmyra, including a recent version trained almost entirely on synthetic data for a fraction of the cost of competing models. Writer currently emphasizes AI agents that plan and execute complex workflows across various business systems.
The startup boasts an impressive roster of hundreds of clients, including major corporations like Uber, Accenture, Qualcomm, and L'Oréal. With this fresh influx of cash, Writer aims to solidify its position as a leader in the enterprise AI sector by building secure, reliable, and adaptable AI tools that handle real-world business scenarios.
