Google Cloud and Wiz Unveil Agentic Security Defenses at Next 26

Google Cloud and Wiz introduce new agentic defense tools and AI protection measures to combat machine-speed cyber threats. The updates include new security agents, AI-BOM integration, and modern identity management.

Google Cloud and Wiz unveil a new era of cybersecurity at Next 26 to combat the rising threat of AI-driven attacks. As adversaries use artificial intelligence to increase the speed and scale of their operations, Google Cloud introduces agentic defense mechanisms to help organizations respond at machine speed. New research highlights that threat actor coordination currently reduces the hand-off time from initial access to a secondary actor from eight hours to just 22 seconds.

To counter these rapid threats, Google launches three new agents within Google Security Operations that hunt threats, engineer detections, and provide third-party context. The company expands its partnership with Wiz to protect AI and cloud applications across any infrastructure, introducing an AI-BOM feature to secure AI-generated code and mitigate the risks of shadow AI. Additionally, Model Armor integrates with Agent Gateway while new Agent Identities add critical layers of defense against unauthorized AI tools.

Google Cloud also focuses on foundational security by simplifying permissions through modern IAM and advancing protections in Security Command Center. The newly introduced Google Cloud Fraud Defense offers specific capabilities to secure the agentic web and protect the entire customer journey. By combining insights from the world's largest threat observatory with breakthroughs from Google DeepMind, Google Cloud delivers a comprehensive strategy to secure workloads in the AI era.
