Google Cloud Next '26 Unveils Roadmap for Agentic Enterprise Transformation

Google Cloud reveals that nearly 75% of its customers now use AI products as it introduces the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and eighth-generation TPUs. The company highlights a massive surge in token processing to power the future of agentic technology.

Google Cloud showcases its vision for the "agentic enterprise" at Cloud Next '26, revealing that nearly 75% of its customers currently use AI products to power their operations. Customer adoption continues to surge, with 330 organizations processing over a trillion tokens each in the past year and overall API token processing jumping to 16 billion tokens per minute. This rapid acceleration highlights a major industry shift toward intelligent, autonomous systems.

The centerpiece of the event is the new Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, which provides tools to build, scale, govern, and optimize AI agents. Google also introduces its eighth-generation Tensor Processing Units, featuring a specialized dual-chip approach designed specifically for the training and inference demands of the agentic era. These hardware and software advancements give businesses the foundational tools needed to deploy complex AI workflows.

To support this massive computational scale, Google unveils the Virgo Network, a new megascale data center fabric that modernizes the AI Hypercomputer infrastructure. Additionally, updates to the Agentic Data Cloud bridge the gap between AI reasoning and business execution, while the new Workspace Intelligence brings unified, real-time context to everyday office tasks. Together, these announcements map out a comprehensive infrastructure for the next decade of machine learning.
