Google Cloud Unveils Agent Platform and 8th Gen TPUs at Next 2026

Google Cloud announces massive infrastructure upgrades and a new enterprise agent management platform as its AI models process over 16 billion tokens per minute.

Google Cloud experiences unprecedented momentum as its first-party AI models process more than 16 billion tokens per minute through direct customer API usage. To support this massive growth, Google directs just over half of its overall 2026 machine learning compute investments toward its Cloud business to benefit customers and partners.

The company fully embraces the agentic era with the launch of the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, a secure, full-stack system designed to help organizations build, scale, govern, and optimize thousands of AI agents. This new platform acts as a mission control center for businesses that are rapidly shifting from asking if they can build an agent to figuring out how to manage them at scale.

Google also introduces powerful new 8th generation TPUs to handle the heavy computational demands of this agentic future while deploying advanced AI tools to defend against security threats. By using its own AI to write code and fix security vulnerabilities faster, Google ensures that organizations can safely and efficiently scale their AI operations.
