Google Cloud introduces Translation Hub, updated Document AI features, and a new Vertex AI computer vision tool to help everyday business users easily integrate AI into their workflows.
Google Cloud introduces a suite of new artificial intelligence tools designed to help everyday business users easily integrate AI into their existing workflows. Unveiled at Google Cloud Next '22, these new releases include Translation Hub, updated Document AI features, and a new computer vision tool for the Vertex AI platform. These tools aim to simplify access to AI technologies so organizations do not need to treat AI as a separate, complex standalone component.
Translation Hub enables users to translate documents into approximately 135 different languages in a matter of seconds. Unlike previous developer-focused translation APIs, this self-service agent targets non-technical business users and includes a human-in-the-loop option that allows local experts to review and edit translations for accuracy. Additionally, the new Document AI Workbench makes it easier for organizations to extract specific information from various types of documents without requiring deep technical expertise.
The tech giant also adds a new computer vision feature to its Vertex AI automated machine learning platform and launches the OpenXLA Project as an open source initiative. Industry analysts note that these toolchains simplify access to critical AI capabilities ranging from language translation to image recognition. By embedding these features directly into the Google Cloud ecosystem, the company helps enterprise customers accelerate their value capture from AI investments.
