Google Cloud launches Vertex AI, a unified machine learning platform designed to accelerate the deployment and maintenance of artificial intelligence models. This managed platform requires nearly 80 percent fewer lines of code to train a model compared to competing solutions, enabling data scientists and ML engineers of all skill levels to implement Machine Learning Operations seamlessly throughout the entire development lifecycle.
The new platform addresses a major industry challenge by replacing the need to manually piece together fragmented ML point solutions. Vertex AI brings all Google Cloud services for building ML under a single unified user interface and API, allowing customers to move models from experimentation to production faster, discover anomalies more efficiently, and make better predictions in response to shifting market dynamics.
Vertex AI gives enterprise teams access to the same AI toolkit that powers Google, covering computer vision, language, conversation, and structured data. The platform includes new MLOps features like Vertex Vizier for faster experimentation, a fully managed Vertex Feature Store for sharing ML features, and Vertex Experiments to accelerate model selection and deployment into production environments.
