Google DeepMind forms a new partnership with Munich-based Agile Robots to integrate Gemini Robotics foundation models into physical machines. This collaboration focuses on combining intelligent, sensor-based robotic arms and humanoid robots with advanced AI software. The two teams share a belief that applying artificial intelligence in the physical world transforms industrial operations.

Agile Robots currently operates more than 20,000 deployed robotic systems globally and plans to integrate Google's technology into these existing industrial robots at scale. The partnership initially targets high-value manufacturing tasks, where the teams will improve performance through real-world robot deployment, data collection, and continuous model training. This approach gives Google crucial real-world data as it competes against rivals like Amazon and Tesla in the robotics space.
