Google Gemini Drops August Update With Storybook Tool And Student Features

Google's latest Gemini update introduces a Storybook creation tool, an enhanced Deep Think mode for Ultra subscribers, and a suite of back-to-school study features.

Google releases its August Gemini Drop, bringing a variety of new tools and features to the Gemini app. Users can now access Storybook, a tool that turns cherished memories, inside jokes, and complex concepts into illustrated storybooks. Ultra subscribers receive an upgraded reasoning mode called Deep Think, which helps tackle highly complex problems in math and coding.

The update also introduces Temporary Chats, allowing users to have conversations that do not save to their history or influence future responses. Additionally, Gemini now uses past chats to provide more personalized and relevant answers. These privacy and context features give users greater control over their AI experience.

Just in time for the new school year, Google adds several study tools to the Gemini app. Students can create practice quizzes and flashcards from their notes, explore complex topics with Guided Learning, and get help organizing study guides or fine-tuning their writing. Google also reminds users to check out the Free Pro Plan designed specifically for students.
