Backed by over 50 major technology and service partners, this framework allows autonomous agents built by various vendors or different frameworks to securely exchange information and coordinate complex tasks without friction.

The A2A protocol addresses a critical challenge in modern workplaces by breaking down siloed data systems and applications. Instead of operating in isolation, AI agents can now work together to handle recurring or complex tasks such as ordering equipment, assisting customer service representatives, and managing supply chain planning, which significantly boosts enterprise productivity and lowers long-term operational costs.

This new protocol complements Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) by focusing specifically on agent-to-agent communication rather than just providing context and tools.
